When I took delivery of the 992 I wanted to have the car PPF and Ceramic coated. My supplier mentioned that the side stickers would look strange under the gloss finish and suggested that I get a replacement set that could be applied on top of the finish. I was not too impressed with the original stickers anyway - they were way too short and I had seen longer ones on a few special cars, so I ordered them in the original color, Pyro Red. I got them done by Carrara Design in the US who do amazing work. ( No connection except as a customer)
I had the car in Germany/Austria for a while this Fall and did my usual week at the Nürburgring. However, I have a habit of adding a single Ring sticker to each car that has been there with me (six so far). The problem was that there were no stickers in Pyro Red. I called Anthony at Carrara Design and asked if he could make one for me. Sure enough a perfect sticker appears this week. I think I may be OCD:)..........

For what it's worth, my guy put Suntek over the decals and they look great. I hear other films may leave more of a gap and not look right, so probably best to trust your installer.... I'm with you on the factory decal. When I first got my turbo s, with a similar color scheme, I thought the red stripe seemed 'short' and was looking for someone to add to it like in the photoshopped version below. Carrera Design didn't come up in my search, but I'm make a mental note for next time. Hoping the 992.2 turbo comes out soon, so not sure it would be worth the effort now, but I do like this look...

That's the exact car I was using as a guide. I was just trying to preserve the factory stripe and augment it with the checkered tail. Your original looks better though. Maybe on my next car....

Yep- Used to see her here and there at the Nordschleife for about 20 years of going there. I had her drive my 7.2RS which was memorable. Still feel a touch of sadness when I pass the corner (formerly T13) which is now named for her.

I didn't know they renamed T13 for Sabine. That's amazing! Always loved her with the Top Gear boys.
The decals look great too!
