My swing-out garage doors have shadow loops (like at a stop light) to prevent the doors from opening into a car. Shadow loops are controlled by little loop detector boxes, which appear to last about 6 years, based on the fact that both of them went bad at about the same time. A repairman replaced the first one but couldn't find the second. When it went bad, I knew I just had to find it and replace it. Took forever to find, as it was behind a very well concealed panel cut into the exterior wall of the house. Once I found it, I was determined no one would need to search for it again. 3D printed panel, complete with 3D printed rubber gasket to keep all the spiders out...
