They are impressive in every performance way. No argument here. I just can’t get around the size of them. I wish they option a non-wide body in the new 911s. They just look too big to drive. I drove one recently and it confirmed my choice to stay mid engine with the Cayman.

The 992 & 991 911s are awesome but they are big and it is apparent when wheeling them around. However, they are classy, beautiful and super refined with tons of quick, Obviously, I definitely enjoy them a lot. Wonderful vehicles.

However for me, the 718s are better in pure driving attributes and are even more fun. They are incredibly nimble and responsive. Plus they look so very good - beautifully designed sports cars. My '21 GT4 will likely always be one of my two favorite cars ever out of a lifetime of cars, the other being a glorious '72 240-Z that I bought new and drove for 175k miles until it basically rusted in half.

To me this is the only quintessential 911….analog nature and size of the 997.2 GT3 is perfect in my opinion. The price of a low mileage not so much. I’m going to try hard to make this happen someday as my forever Porsche.

Tom,

I broke down and bought a fantastic 991.1S for myself on Friday. A/C seats, high end radio, Working A/C..... 6 speed 3.8L.
I won't know what to do with myself while not sweating in my classic 911's. It took a while but I've seen the light.

The build for the new 2026 911S completed today!

TYD is no longer available on PCs as of a year or so ago (another boneheaded Porsche move), so all that is available are tiny phone app photos. Porsche has also disabled downloading, rotation, exporting and everything else regarding photos among other hobbling app restrictions. Makes no sense but that's nothing new. (I had a lengthy conversation about this with PCNA this morning. They are going to try to find a way to get the three TYD photos to me.)

Meanwhile, the best I can do is crappy 1 MB screenshots.

The car will be stunning.
I hope they get you the full res photos, I had mine printed on metal wall art for the garage.

Thanks!

The metal print you had done sounds so cool - I'll have do something similar if I get the hi-res birth pics!

If it makes you feel any better, I've ordered two turbo s cars and didn't get any pictures of either one.
:(. Maybe the third times a charm. Your car is looking awesome -- what's the ETA?

Huge arrival date range at the moment between Oct 17th and Nov 17th, due it seems to a wide departure window out of the Emden port.
