Sweet! I have an older 718 version (2021) of your car. Black on black on black - "murdered out" is the term someone told me it was called. Lol
What did you do with your 718 this week?

I never miss an opportunity to mention Tom's marvelous solutions for no-drill rear plate mounting for 718s, 991/992s and Cayennes. They are incredible, high-quality, foolproof designs that not only mean no drilled holes whatsoever but also help promote Carpokes.Sam_Flat6 wrote: Sat Aug 23, 2025 12:56 pm I did something similar except replaced rivnuts by drilling holes and installing automotive grade plastic inserts on all my cars.

Although I like this an as option, I’m not a big fan on adhesion mounted items on paint except for PPF.blueline wrote: Sat Aug 23, 2025 2:24 pmI never miss an opportunity to mention Tom's marvelous solutions for no-drill rear plate mounting for 718s, 991/992s and Cayennes. I get that and understand the concerns. Your solution is also a very good one.Sam_Flat6 wrote: Sat Aug 23, 2025 2:51 pmAlthough I like this an as option, I’m not a big fan on adhesion mounted items on paint except for PPF.blueline wrote: Sat Aug 23, 2025 2:24 pmI never miss an opportunity to mention Tom's marvelous solutions for no-drill rear plate mounting for 718s, 991/992s and Cayennes. As a note for others who might have concerns, the ones from Carpokes are not a problem for any modern paint or PPF. The adhesive on the mounts is basically the same as used by Porsche for things such as rear emblems and the like which can be removed without damaging paint. No permanent holes to the rear bumper area is a plus for some too.
The mounts for the new gen (2024 and later) Cayennes are not adhesion mounted as Porsche finally wised up and put two secure (but oddly positioned) mount points on them. (They don't fit license plates from any country whose plates I've seen but at least they provide a great place for a properly designed mount.)
I have no idea why Porsche does not provide some kind of basic, adaptable mount point for all their vehicles.

getting back on the track for a DE weekend in a couple weeks...time for fresh meat. I had numbers made to match my seat belts. Because people do that, right?
I also bought the GT4 shifter recently, but waiting for the knob I ordered to arrive before I install. Seems a fairly simple install (famous last words), and a post for another time.

I love that as a number solution! Are window numbers legal for SCCA, PCA, etc?

Thanks!
I'm not sure about SCCA, but I've used them with both MKEPCA (RA) & NORPCA (Mid-OH) events with no problem. I have a rectangle I slap on the hood too.
Bought these through Firestorm Graphix...I asked them to do the custom backgrounds for me (they ended up using my car on their site). They are very happy to help out.
