Finally got myself back in a 911 after a 12 year absence.
Picked up a 2017 991.2 Carrera in GT silver yesterday.
Only found this site by searching for a solution to mount the rear license plate on the car. Someone has already gone “wild” with a drill on the rear bumeper cover!
Will post a picture when daylight hits.

I just put a pair of Tom's license mounts on my new '26 Carrera S that came in a couple of days ago. I was at the dealership when the car hauler arrived and put the new mounts on that afternoon while the car was getting PDI'd.

First Porsche: My current '87 944, always wanted a 944, it is the top car on my short list.

Was hooked on Porsche's when: Ever since I had an interest in cars and engineering, I have had a respect for Porsche. I appreciate the objectives and weirdness of their transaxle cars. I also owned a 1990 VW Vanagon, which I restored and drove 15,000 miles and xcounty(usa) twice. Owning the flat 4 and working on 80s/90s tech only fueled my desire for owning a Porsche. I took my 944 on a 1600 mile drive a few months after acquiring it and that was truly when I become hooked.

The zero rust is fantastic for an '81, but I guess a few issues are not unexpected. (44- years ago since built - time does indeed fly by.)
