Recently acquired a 1973 2.0. Recent "decent" repaint, factory front sway bar, "very good" interior, original hell hole and battery tray! Located in west LA. Replaced the master cylinder as well as the original rubber brake lines. Currently working on the fuel pump relocation as well as replacing the 14 pin connector at the relay board (Thanks Jeff).

Lovely car, Jeff! I've always had a softspot for red 914s, going back to an old GF who had a '72 1.7 liter (named 'Big Red'). Yours appears to be a beauty! Regrettably, my old GF's 914 met its end at a stopsign, many years ago, when said GF wore her Birkenstocks on a drive to the beach. When she got to a stopsign, she stepped on the brake but her Birkenstock slipped off her foot and wedged the accelerator in its 'on' position. "Big Red" kept going right through that intersection and she T-boned a big Oldsmobile, totaling it. Fortunately she wasn't hurt, but after that we added Porsche 914 Rule #592 to the 914 Owners' Tips Book: Namely, NEVER WEAR BIRKENSTOCKS (or 'Flip-flops') while driving a 914! Best wishes for a Birkenstock-free New Year in your beautiful red '73!
