Adapt Fuel Pressure Damper and Regulator

I had heard of these dampers failing and it’s usually fuel inside the vacuum line. Well, mine failed externally. It Appears to be leaking from the rolled joint.
Reminder to Check your fuel items regularly.
This is going to be some $$$. But I’m sure glad I caught it.

Update:
I purchased some Adapt Motorsport replacement units. These units use Bosch dampers and regulators in beautifully machined housings. The FPR is adjustable as well.
The customer service, shipping, packaging and product were all top notch.

This company is truly making stuff they are proud of.

I had mine fail internally and they way I caught it was finding some fuel when removing the KLR boost reference line.

Not sure if you know but 944online sells their own aftermarket regulator that looks original.

Your engine bay looks very nice, could you share some pictures? What does the car look like in general?

I went with Radium for aftermarket FPR and FD. Have been working nicely. I do like the look of the Adapt ones.

It’s got about 130,000 miles. I got it about a year ago. Did a pretty comprehensive engine bay refresh. New belts, rollers, water pump, cooling pipes, radiator, hardware, oil cooler housing gasket and inside o rings, front seals. Took the manifold off and replaced and replated the rest of the items with fresh zinc. Resealed throttle body and replaced all the vacuum hoses.
Interior is stock minus clubsport wheel, and Recaro pole positions with matching brown leather inserts and a roll bar that bolts into factory hardware locations.

Correct! Cleans things up a touch. Apparently the damper doesn't technically use vacuum for changing any of its dampening. People said it's there as a fail safe in case the membrane ruptures. After my old one created an external leak and the vacuum "fail safe" proved not to be a fail safe, I doubt that function a bit.
I hesitated about this before purchasing. But the only other available dampers are over $700 from porsche. Or the made in china/aliexpress units from the other suppliers. After a made in china Hamburg Technic fan switch cost me a 6 month old OEM radiator - I'm done with cheap parts getting "German Manufacturer" accredited. I wasn't exactly about to put that faith in a fuel system part. And old parts are now 40 years old.
Adapt were adamant that the vacuum is not an important item and these ones don't have membrane failures like the old ones/different tech.
The Bosch mini damper and regulator caps are pretty highly regarded and readily available - so I chose this route.
