Any one who had 992 2022 upgraded to PCM 6. Love to understand if it’s possible.

Not an upgrade but my 992 has it - it’s not perfect by any means.

Occasionally will not activate and I have to restart the engine to reboot the system.

Sometimes will not restart Waze or Pandora in CarPlay.

Homelink is a joke - but not funny !

PCM is the one area of my new Porsche that I am less than happy with.

I reflected this when I completed the “extensive”” JD Power Survey.

I think that PCM 6 was installed on January cars and newer cars. Am I correct?

My 2022 car was built late October 2021 and has PCM 6

There is supposed to be an update effective production week 7, which is in February which allows wireless android connect

My car production was August 2021, it doesn’t have pcm 6. Yesterday dealer told me that my pcm sw is up to date.

May be they are not updating factory imaged pcms

Is your car really model year 2022? I thought you had it last summer when you joined Carpokes, no?

For what it's worth, the PCM is the only thing on my '21 Turbo that's needed warranty work. The screen would freak out every now and then and go monotone in a random color. Happened 3 or 4 times. The dealer called around and learned of at least one other 992 where that happened, so they changed the whole PCM unit, screen and all, and it's been fine ever since.

Ordered Cayman GTS July 2021. Took delivery early November. Yes, it’s a 2022. When I joined CP I had never driven a Porsche including the model I purchased.

If I ever knew that, I guess I had forgotten long ago. No wonder you're still breaking it in.
