Well, I've come to a point in my life where I feel the need to reprioritize where to spend my time. And an obvious area to trim is my online presence. And unfortunately, Carpokes is going to be a casualty in my cutbacks.

I say 'unfortunately' because I do like the attitude and atmosphere here—casual, laid back, friendly. But I also find that there really isn't enough content relevant to me to keep me coming back.

The hot topic areas here are transaxle cars, track/race, and high-end cars that I could never afford even if I wanted one. Even the 718 forum (which is reasonably active) is largely biased toward the higher-end cars and track use, which isn't relevant to me and my 2.0L Base Cayman (which is mostly a road trip car). I haven't owned a transaxle car in almost 10 years, and that 944 was only with me for a few months as I did some needed repairs for flipping it.

Which leads me to my exit. Oh, I will probably pop in occasionally. But certainly not very often.

Circling back to the thread title, "So long..."

PS - If I happen to pick up another 944 in the future, expect to see more of me...

We'll always be here for you! Thanks for all your contributions and I'm sure many of us would love to see how the Bronco turns out! Gaining traction on all Porsche models and all interest angles is tough but I'm irrationally relentless so will keep pushing until we are there. Hope to see you from time to time :)
