Ahhh, stealth classic air cooled AND an up to date killer mid engine high spec driving focused ride, both in white I see. Each has its strengths and charms, and I would think white cars fly slightly under the radar so to speak.
Welcome to CARPOKES and Thank You for joining.

Hey everyone!
I found this site today and was really impressed, thanks for all the great posts to research.

Name: Jeff King
Location: Coventry, Connecticut
Current fun cars: '87 951; '74 914 2.0; '72 Triumph GT6 (race car)
Occupation: Mechanical engineer

Currently I'm working to get my 944 Turbo back on the road after it ended up with an electrical gremlin a few years ago. I recently got it running with the help of an Augment Automotive ECU upgrade/replacement. I found this site looking for information and inspiration to tackle the long list of tune-ups now needed.
Thanks, and hope to see some of your fun cars out on the road if winter ever ends!

Welcome aboard Jeff! We have lots of 944 folks/expertise, so if we can help, just post away. We also have quite a few 914 lurkers. Start posting about the 914 and let's see if we can bring them out of the shadows a bit more!

That's a nice garage inventory you have. Interesting mix of handling characteristics across your cars.
Electrical gremlins seem to the bane of older cars as I have a couple on my 89 951 but the depth of the 944 knowledge is deep here in CARPOKES.
Welcome to the site and thank you for joining.

Welcome kingjp and I will admit to being envious of the GT6 as it was one of my main choices for a first car back in 1970. Before going to college I looked hard for a GT6 and gave up as the availability seemed quite limited in Kansas. I did end up with a year old Datsun 2000 and it was a great machine that I had a ton of fun with --- including getting a speeding ticket for 105 mph ( it was not maxed out ) near Pratt, Kansas, late at night. Not a smart move in 1971, but the little roadster would lay it down on the two lane ribbons of asphalt in the Midwest.

JCviggen, always great to have another track rat on board and I look forward to more pictures and videos of you ripping up European asphalt. Webber, are you based in the Arkansas or Missouri Ozarks ? Great place, either way for fun, fun drives in your Porsches.
Eric, spent some time in your State, and you have some great places to drive also with just a short drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains. My favorite spot in NC, though, is on Ocracoke Island - great place to take a step back in time.
I'm in the Northwest Arkansas - so a three hour drive can take me to Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and of course, Arkansas. Fantastic roads in all directions and quite a few club drives to join. Our PCA group hosts Porsche Palooza in Eureka Springs each year (400+ cars) with great drives for 3 days.

Pamela driving 2024 911Carrera4S Cab Silver/Black top & 2021 Panamera 4S Midnight Blue.
Passion for Porsche. Started driving the Panamera as no other sedan called to me. Drove both for business BMW & MBZ. Since my 911 only needed to be in the shop for maintenance, decided why not give the sedan a try. Absolutely love it. Didn't think I would. So there you have it Porsche you stole my heart again. 💕
Thanks, looking forward to Porsche chats as I am Porsche Passionate!

Welcome and Pamela is a stunning young lady! I am sure those other 4 doors view her and are quite envious of her lovely curves.
