Anyone in NYC area willing to help me get a 951 started?
Some more recent pictures. Amazing what a new set of tires with 303 protectant and a polish and ceramic coating does. Just waiting on the new fog lights to come in to complete the look with some led H3 bulbs. A stock 86' 951 with Fuchs is a great midnight run look.

Very nice and clean car! Im taking my 944 when I go get my haircut in Park Slope today. Are you a MetroPCA member?
Recent update with new fog light lenses. I had to get a set of used housings. Just missing a trim piece that’s on order. Looks great with the led bulbs and the dapper lights.
Significant difference in light output at night and looks great!

Today I replaced the odometer gear on the car since the original gear had desintegrated. Despite changing it and the trip reset functioning the odometer still doesn't work. Does anyone what other issues the odometer could have if everything else works as it should and the odometer doesn't turn? Could it be a bad odometer motor? Is that common?

Is the odometer itself working?MoeMonney wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 5:03 pm Today I replaced the odometer gear on the car since the original gear had desintegrated. Yeah, something sounds broken there, assuming the speedometer itself works. I'd offer to look at it, but only 50/50 whether I could fix it and could take me a long time to get to it... Palo Alto Speedometer could fix it, but they are mighty expensive. Path of least resistance - if there is no one local with a knack for gauges -- is probably a used one on eBay... It's surprisingly easy to set the odometer reading to whatever you want...MoeMonney wrote: Mon Apr 13, 2026 8:10 am No the odometer doesn’t work as in the numbers don’t roll. Brent from Edredas told me sometimes the circuit boards go bad. I’m not sure what it is at this point.
