I'm Dan and found my way here yesterday while looking for tech info on my 944.
Location: Sharpsburg, GA
Occupation: Was a Clinical Research Pharmacist but now I just play with cars.
Current fun cars: ‘86 Porsche 944, ‘05 Lotus Elise, ‘66 Lotus Elan S2 and a ‘96 Ferrari F355 GTS
I’m really a Lotus guy at heart but enjoy all makes of cars and the 944 is my latest project. I rescued it this January from being abandoned in a locked up garage where it had sat for 20+ years. I was helping a friend dig out three other Porsches from two garages that were filled to the ceiling with everything you could imagine by a hoarder that had recently passed away. The 944 was the only car that didn’t have junk piled on and around it and had been left unmolested. I ended up with it after some “Porsche” guys said it wasn’t worth anything and the widow offered it to me for helping her remove the other cars so they could be sold. I decided to take it on after poking around it and finding it in original condition with only 17,000 miles and by original I mean even the timing belts, spark plugs, hoses, tires, etc. Every fastener still had the original yellow paint marks on it from the factory and no marks from a wrench. The only thing not original is the Alpine stereo from the ‘80s. The car was in a pretty sorry state when I pulled it from that garage but has responded well to it’s recommissioning and the only thing left not working is the A/C. So trying to sort that out is how I ended up here.

Hello folks! I ran across a link to this forum either on Rennlist or 718Forum whilst in the midst of trying to find a suitable license plate mount. I'm located in the Texas Hill Country, plenty of great backroads out here to enjoy. My current ride is a 2021 BGTS 4.0, prior to that I owned a 718S and a 981S (both Boxsters) - what can I say, I'm a Boxster aficionado!
