It's just a plain old Carrera, but for a retired postal clerk it will still be an impressive car.
There is no such thing as just a plain old Carrera. I had a 2021 Carrera and it was a blast to drive. Loved the handling and responsiveness. Drove it as often as I could simply because I enjoyed driving it. You are going to love it!

My new Porsche 2022 911 Turbo S LW has been delayed until the next year model. It will be a 2023 car?
I am not complaining. It's been a tough year for Porsche getting cars into Jacksonville, FL. One ship sunk with many Porsche cars as cargo (mostly headed here).
I am good. I'll order my next car as soon as the current car is delivered.
Sorry to hear of the delay. It has been, and still is, a very difficult year for Porsche. Many builds have been delayed, including several of us Carpokeans, and my dealer has mentioned that some are now getting pushed to MY23. In addition to the sinking of the Felicity Ace, supply shortages are still the major issue and the war in Ukraine created a severe shortage of wiring harnesses for several manufacturers. The good news is that you will have a one MY newer Turbo S LW to enjoy. Awesome car! Know it's not easy but, hang in there.
FWIW after many delays my GT3 and @murphsea's GTS are both aboard the Siem Aristotle. She is due to arrive in Jacksonville on May 30th. I'm so looking forward to finally taking delivery. All of the delays have become a distant memory.
@murphsea The Siem Aristotle is currently 613nm due East of Halifax. Appears to be right on schedule. Fingers crossed she arrives in Baltimore with enough time for you to see your GTS before you depart.

Yeah, it’ll be close. Hopefully I can make it work.

The base Carrera is the best kept secret Porsche has.
C&D tested it at 3.2 second to 60mph. That's .4 seconds faster than the Porsche 959. Not fair to compare it to older cars you say? Ok, then know that the base 992 also gets to 60 faster than the high-output F1 edition of the '22 Aston Martin Vantage. C&D also got 11.5 seconds in the quarter mile, just a smidge faster than an V-10 Audi R8. And needless to say, the 992 can hold its own around corners/tracks with the best of them. So, yeah, there's always a faster car somewhere, but there's nothing plain or old about a Carrera! I was at my dealer yesterday talking to my sales guy and we were admiring this 2021 they had for sale saying the same thing -- i.e., the higher-spec cars get all the press and attention, so people tend to overlook how special the 992 Carrera really is.

Wahoo! Super happy for you, and what a gorgeous car!! Looking forward to hearing all about it. Did I do Shark Blue bezels for you? I'd be really curious how well the match the color.

@Tom What were they asking for the Carrera? Had to be at least original MSRP or more?

Congratulations Eric. She's a beauty. But, of course, Shark Blue is my favorite. Look forward to hearing about the driving experience. Enjoy that baby!
