I've loved the Porsche chalk from first sight, it really seemed unique. However as we all are aware, nearly every manufacturer has come out with a similar shade over the last few years. I've seen Chevys, Kias, Dodges, Hyundai and others. Well, today I saw a class 8 tractor in a chalk color, so it's everywhere now. I still like it, but it's no longer unique. BTW, mine is Aventurine Green Metallic, so far I've not seen many other makes in that shade.

Not a fan of chalk exterior, but I did spec my 2022 GTS 4.0 with chalk/black interior leather, guards red exterior. I had those same colors in a former '86 944 turbo and wanted to do it again. Lexol leather care appreciates me.

I was initially considering Chalk for my 718 Cayman GTS. My prior car was an Audi RS3 in Nardo Grey and I loved it. As the OP mentioned, this color has become way to common. I took the safer route and chose GT Silver for the 718. I’m glad I did.

Chalk was on my list as well. But, I also felt it was playing out. It's still a great color, but I wonder if it's like a lot of the colors that come and go....ultimately dating the car. Remember back when that burnt metallic orange was all the craze? Some colors just hold up better over time.

I’ve only had my Chalk CAYMAN for a couple of weeks, but I can already tell the color is going to be very easy to take care of.
Will apply PPF and full ceramic after July 4th (first available appointment!) then it should attract no dust at all.

Beautiful car and you are quite right. It’s very easy to maintain.Leader wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 6:28 pm I’ve only had my Chalk CAYMAN for a couple of weeks, but I can already tell the color is going to be very easy to take care of.

Chalk might be the ultimate color for keeping things clean and not showing scratches. I do have a silver car (non P) and I do like how easy it is to keep it looking good. But chalk is classier for sure.
The chalk Cayman/Boxster with the high-gloss Carrera Sport wheels is one of my favorite looks. Very elegant!
