Ok, I'm going to get them. Is there a go-to place to order, or just any old dealer with a good price? Based on the Suncoast video, I guess it's a no-tool, 30-second job?

My dealer gave them and installed for free when I took delivery. 5 min job.

My dealer also gave me a set when I picked up my car no charge, took me 5 minutes to swap and make a huge difference on appearance.
Same stupid regulations are here in Canada as well, must be North American thing 🤦‍♂️

I changed the orange side markers out yesterday as soon as I got the new car home.

I had purchased a set new for a good price from an owner who never installed them and no longer wanted them.

Also added the blue key fob cover in the shot.

The bottom picture also shows one of the production line pics I had enlarged and framed - top left on garage wall.

Cool picture on wall. Was it as easy as everyone says to change the markers?

I watched the tech at the dealership switch out mine. Two minutes max.

It’s easy but there’s a technique.

I applied some metallic duct tape (strong adhesion) and pull toward the back of the car.

This compresses a spring and the front of the lens pops out. You can see the spring in the second pic.

Look’s much better, I’m guessing you like blue cars 😂

Orange side markers are only required for vehicles when offered for sale as new. Like mattress tags, new owners can do as they please with them once they take possession. I had my side markers changed to clear before taking delivery.

Same with roll bars/partial cages, etc. It's one of the reasons we can't get roll bars on a new car ordered from a manufacturer such as a GT-type car that you want registered for the street. (IE: Club Sports which are not street legal.) However, putting in a roll bar system like a Cantrell, adding Schroth harnesses, and so on is 100% ok if done after the new car sale. It's even fine to let the dealer do the conversions - clear markers, roll bars, etc.

Also, none of those kinds of mostly cosmetic manufacturer new-car-sale restrictions are required for subsequent sales.
