944 delaminating rear hatch

Hi
I have the same problem with mine . The previous owner put glue and silicone in the gap and I am worried I will do more damage removing it rather than just filling the gap ?

Maybe it's just me, but every time I took a shortcut on my 951, it was a detour to fixing it correctly!

And yes - the PO on my car tried to fill the gap with silicone. I went for the more involved repair and it’s been good for about 5 years now.

2.5 years, and it is fine, but the car is rarely outside. Driven about one day every month on average.
