Hi
I have the same problem with mine . The previous owner put glue and silicone in the gap and I am worried I will do more damage removing it rather than just filling the gap ?
Cheers
John

Maybe it's just me, but every time I took a shortcut on my 951, it was a detour to fixing it correctly!
And yes - the PO on my car tried to fill the gap with silicone. I went for the more involved repair and it’s been good for about 5 years now.

I recently added this strip of black vinyl wrap. Had the shop I get the car detailed at do it. I think it turned out nice. Will it hold? Time will tell.
I did something similar with black pinstriping tape.

I've since put another strip, doubling the width of the tape.

2.5 years, and it is fine, but the car is rarely outside. Driven about one day every month on average.
