Indeed! I'd lobby for widespread recognition for the entire understated, slightly cryptic soundtrack. Hah!

Thanks gents. I often wonder if anyone 'gets' my humor in those clips. :shifty: I would be embarrassed to admit how long I poked around looking for just the right soundtrack bits. My knee was having a bad day, so it kept me plenty entertained while I stayed off it.

Regarding the time spent soundtrack searching, I was wondering the same thing when composing my reply to Rob. Then I started trying to imagine what sound sources you might be using, where you were going to find them, etc. The soundtrack is important!

Finally finished these pipes for a very (very) patient Carpokean. I'll never be an Instagram-worthy TIG welder, but the welds are functional and the overall look is pretty cool. That Eastwood Satin Black may be my new under-hood favorite. Just when I thought I was on the home stretch, I discovered the longer pipe didn't fit in my oven without some creative positioning. I came up with this powder-coating stand on the fly, which worked surprisingly well. :)

Ha! I felt like anything but the genius when I opened the oven door and had a D'oh moment. I finally figured out it would fit kitty-corner like that and came up with the stand in desperation. It actually worked out great though, since there are no little bare spots you sometimes get with the wire it normally hangs from.

Collective wisdom is that TIG welding aluminum is much harder than steel. Since day one, however, I really only used that welder on aluminum, so that's all I know. When I needed to make a stand on the fly, the TIG welder was already all set up from doing the pipes, so I found that scrap steel and used the TIG to put it together. It was so foreign to me, I ended up welding the stand to the table and had to chisel it off.
