Nice! I have unlimited garage space now but I live in a condo; however, we are having a house built nearby but I can only have a 2 car garage, or at least that is how it must appear from the front - it will be 45' deep! I will not be doing anything as nice as Tom's garage but I do want to do something with the floor so maybe the Race Deck product will be best.

I loved the Racedeck in my prior garage, but I'd say it's best for light mechanical work and general parking, etc. When I started pulling engines and transmissions on it, I chewed it up pretty quickly. The upside is they are easy to replace and make new again, and they totally transform a regular garage into a place where you'll feel comfy hanging out in your socks.

Love the garage doors, I don't think they would work for me due to the snow. Also a very nice tile floor, I have the same in my office. (I am a tile contractor). We are building a new house and we will have a 3 1/2 car garage extra deep. I our last 2 garages I contemplated a tile floor but always went with epoxy, maybe I will switch it up this time.

The doors were an engineering nightmare (but worth it in the long run). Steel frames covered in wood, with heavy-duty gate opening hardware to make them work. If you look online, virtually all the carriage style doors you'll see are about half the width of these. There's good reason for that!

These doors work in CA. The last time I saw snow stick to the ground here was in the late 1970's. In snow country, without a heated or covered driveway, there's no way these would push through more than a few inches of snow. Strong winds are another concern, as these are hinged on one side and the wind can exert a ton of force, almost literally.

If you are a tile guy, I'd do PEI 5 porcelain in a heartbeat, but it also depends a bit on the style you are after. I was going for a more refined country cozy feel and think the floor is perfect for that. Epoxy typically feels more like an industrial facility to me, but that can also be a style theme for a cool garage, so just depends on what you're after I suppose. One thing I would say is that this porcelain is strong like ox. I've dropped lots of heavy things already with no noticeable damage/cracks, etc. We have a membrane underneath and incorporated many control breaks into the design, so (knock on wood) these tiles will actually crack less than the concrete slab it sits on.

Now THIS is my kind on home renovation show! Living vicariously through @JetFuelOnly -- I love garage remodels! Ditch the box and don't forget a blast cabinet and good compressor. And a parts washer. And Racedeck. And some kind of welder. And tool boxes/cabinets. And, and, and... Did I mention I'm into garages!

Basic construction done... "Ghostwood" siding and corrugated metal wainscotting on the walls were inspired by a Mexican restaurant near my house, and a little by Cheeseburgers in Paradise in Maui...

Swing-out carriage doors were a total pain, but saved head room for the lift and gave it a cool vibe.

Porsche letters were a Christmas present from my wife, years before I had any place to put them.

Love the garage Tom, especially the floors.
Glad to have found this site too. Found Crazy Eddie online because I needed covers for my incoming GTS bucket seats.
Then saw the video of Ed being interviewed in your garage and Ed sent me to this site when I asked about the garage.

I have a new house we just built and was contemplating epoxy floors but man those tiles of yours look amazing.
Would love more info on what you used and any tips you may have.
