Best I can do is look for a can that's close, unless you want to spring for a can of paint tinted to code. Give me a day or two. I'm thinking we can get close enough for it to "work' but, if not, I'll print more. :)

Tom wrote: Tue Oct 19, 2021 2:43 pm Thanks Bob! Would you say your Racing Yellow Gauges match the color of your exterior Racing Yellow Paint?

p.s., speed yellow is one of my favorite colors, so know it well and how it differs from RY. What I'm less clear on is whether the gauge color is really the same as the exterior Racing Yellow.... (since my "Guards Red" gauges don't look like true GR to me...)
They appear to match perfectly! I wish they would have made the stitching Racing Yellow since I decided to not put my Spyder emblem on a Black background...thanks again for the backing plate Tom!

Here are the two closest yellows I could find, sitting on a Racing Yellow car. Which would you prefer? The lighter one is a closer match in person, but the darker one might add a little more pop.

As a suggestion, one could buy a rattle can of the exact color from automotivetouchup.com and send it to Tom. I have bought from them in the past and the last one I got, Miami Blue, was a perfect match, in a spray can!

There's an automotive paint store near me, and they will match factory colors in a spray can, but as far as I know they only have the two-part can where you release the catalyst just before painting by pushing the red plunger in the bottom of the can. It's great paint, and chemical resistant like true car paint, but it's about $35 a can and once you activate it, you only have about 12-24 hours before the paint hardens in the can. If I had to paint 20 of them in Racing Yellow, it might be worth it, but most of the can would do to waste for one or two rings...

I'm also happy to send an unpainted ring, so folks can source their own paint and go to town. :)

Automotivetouchup.com rattle cans last just as long as a normal can, at about $30 a can. All I am saying is that if someone wants a perfect match Tom they can buy it and have them ship it to you and you can send it back to them along with the painted part.

Understood and happy to do that.

If I needed one I would not think twice since not only does Tom make an amazing part he is a better painter than me, and I thought I was pretty good!

I did one in each of the yellows I had. Your welcome to both of them, or if you want to swing by the Carpokes headquarters to try them out (or other colors) in person, just send me a PM.
