Build locks 12/14/24
I think someone backed out of an allocation.
I happened to be getting my car serviced last Wednesday and expressed interest in a new 992 and was in the right place at the right time !!!!!
Nice how those fortuitous things happen to work out.

Aerokit too! Share the build if you care to.
I'll be doing the same as you once PTS becomes available again.

Here's the build code - PRD179L5
Yes at least at the moment the aerokit is available - fingers crossed it stays that way
I had a Nimbus Grey Audi TT many moons ago which is very close to Arctic Grey and I really liked that color
I was told Shark Blue will not be available as standard next March so I'm intrigued what "bright" color it will be replaced with.

Same thing happened several weeks ago on the Cayenne config/order. At the time I figured that was just because it was an SUV rather than a Porsche sports car but now I'm thinking otherwise.
Maybe Porsche has decided that they better build some cars and quit assuming that having customers waiting in line for years for an allocation is a good thing...
Economies are cyclical.

Just curious, why the sudden change? You don't like the cab?
Also - I know you have your order but make sure you considered the T before taking a base. T is a fantastic price point and offers a lot of what the base lacks. Holds value better too.

We live in Ga but spend the summers in Ct and travel a lot so the 911 stays in the garage about 6 months of the year.
Even though I have the top down at every opportunity a good portion of the time is not conducive to open top driving.
I also got a great trade in deal (again) on my 2023 so moving from a 2023 to a 2024 made financial sense as much as buying any 911 makes sense

TYD suddenly changed scheduled delivery of my new 992 at dealer from March 1 to April 25 !!!!
Hopefully a glitch in TYD

This appears to be not uncommon for TYD.
As an example, the date our Cayenne was due at the dealer has been showing as Feb 3rd for awhile now. The boat with the vehicle made it across the Atlantic safely (yay!) to the port at Davisville, RI around the 20th where it partially unloaded. It's now headed to the port in Baltimore and is due there this evening where more cars will be unloaded. Eventually, (after a stop in Jacksonville??), it will make it to the port in Houston where our Porsche will be unloaded and then trucked here.
However (and this is the point), as of three days ago there is no longer any estimated arrival date showing on our TYD for the Cayenne. A date of some kind has been present at TYD from the start but not any more. It simply says to stay tuned for more details.
A recent thread where TYD was discussed in merriment. (Well, kind of merriment!)
