Carpokes

In a nutshell, the above description of poor OEM systems is why I don't enjoy music very much in a vehicle. When road and tire noise are thrown in, listening to music in the GT4 is an uninspiring, unenjoyable experience. It's one of the reasons I never listen to the radio in that car. (Another is that I love listening to the car itself - can drive for hours lost in the experience of the drive along with accompanying thoughts. The GT4 is an awesome sounding car all on its own!)

I do listen to music in the TTS with its Burmester, but even there the sound is less than ideal, although it is far superior to the base system in the GT4.

I cannot speak for Tom and that's his call, but for me it's fine as is. (That is, outside of the double postings in your original which unnecessarily lengthen it and make the post difficult to read and follow. As it is now it might discourage readers or lessen their involvement).

No it's all good, I was just trying to understand and thought it might help to be clear about the offer. I get the concern about sponsorships, considering what other sites do, but you are a good Carpokean trying to make cool Porsche stuff available to the community, so go for it. If it's a Carpokes exclusive, I'll even feature it in the next weekly email!

I had also put it up elsewhere but it is now deleted. We will keep it Carpoke specific.

Are the Musicar plug and play systems specific for Porsche's base and Bose systems only? Are they similar for 992's?

They have them for the 911 also. I think you can also get dedicated subwoofers for that system.

And yes on the base stereo and Bose. Can do it with burmester but I think the integration is more difficult.

Awesome! If this is a go and you or Musicar want to run a banner ad on the front page for a while, just send or have them send me a jpg or gif that's 1250 x 125. No charge. I do think some pricing or ballpark pricing would help muster interest, but just my two cents.
