Nice! I’ll definitely take one in racing yellow when it’s ready.
Is your sports chrono one yellow? I've been struggling to get a good match, and the one I had mixed at the paint shop was screwed up -- so I'm curious what you have?ianmcall wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 7:15 pm Nice! I’ll definitely take one in racing yellow when it’s ready.
Sorry to ask, but can you (or did you) post a picture? Just want to make sure I use the same color, since none of my yellows are an exact match.ianmcall wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 8:02 pm Yes, the color you used on my yellow sports chrono bezel was a nice match, so a tach bezel in same color would be ideal.
I love my Form 3 printer, but the one thing I'd say about it is that it ain't fast. I print 4 Sports Chrono Bezels at once and it take about 4 hours to print (then needs to be cleaned and cured). The Tach Bezels take about 2 hours to print. That sounds worse than it really is though. Once I did the basic Tach Bezel design, all those versions were just super minor tweeks (adding .1mm here, subtracting .3mm there, etc.). So I generally send a version to the printer at night, and then test it out in the morning, then adjust the model and try again that night. If I had to guestimate, I'd say 10-20 hours of my time. The SC one was way easier. I think the final version was either my second or third try... and I print 4 at a time overnight now. I have fun doing it so it never seemed like work.Hawk wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 10:36 pm Tom, Out of curiosity, how long does it take to print a Tach and a Sports Chrono bezel? After twenty-two versions of the Tach bezel and ? versions of the Sports Chrono, I won't dare ask how many development hours you have invested in them.
