Ordered new sender unit from Design911 in the UK last Tuesday, arrived on Friday and I fitted today. Has fixed the issue with the gauge hitting the upper stop, now reads 5 bar at cold idle. Drops to just under 5 after a quick drive around the block.

Working correctly. This gauge also functions as an indirect oil temperature indicator; expect about 2-2.5 bar at idle with fully warmed-up oil and in-spec bearing clearances.
