Beautiful car! All you need to do now is paint the side protective mouldings!

I have a project car that is its twin minus the protective mouldings.

Where did you source your carpet from? I’ve been looking for a good complete kit for a while now

MoeMonney, I have paint from PaintScratch.com and the side moldings are on the to-do list. Inch by inch!

Poorsche44, the carpet is a used set which I got from Plyhammer's (https://plyhammersparts.com). It was graded as being in "Excellent" condition and it definitely is. No wear or fade at all. Mark is a great source for 944/51 parts. Highly recommend him.

That is a great outcome indeed.
Would you be willing to sell the brown interior to help a lesser car become much better?

breilly951 wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 11:15 am So I had a brown interior in my 86 Turbo, which was showing its age. I thought I could live with it until I bought the 911 bezels from our very own Tom. Once I had these jewels in the car, the cracked dash just did not work.

So, it was off in search of a new dash and I found one on the CARPOKEs garage sale site. It was a very nice dual color (black/gray) leather dash for sale by our very own Tom. But not only did he have a dash, he also had a set of matching door cards and a center console. He gave me a smoking good deal on all of it.

With these purchases, it could only mean it was time for a complete interior change. I decided upon black components as I thought it would best fit the Kalahari Beige exterior of the car. So thanks to several vendors at the PCA swap meet in Carlisle, Mark at Plyhammer's, 917 Porsche black dye from Color-Plus for the seats, shifter and steering wheel, a few minor EBay purchases, the CARPOKE dash removal guide and several other CARPOKE postings, I had all the components and info necessary to begin the transformation.

Out with the old!

I also purchased some black automotive grade vinyl to make a new headliner and began the fabrication and assembly process. I also took the time to replace the heater control clips - thanks Tom, replaced the foam seals in the dash vents and on the climate control unit, replaced the sunroof drains and installed new door seals.

From the original brown to the transformed interior, which I guess technically is my interior inspired by Tom's 911 Bezels.

Thanks Tom and all the CARPOKES contributors.

Bruce,
Definitely a big undertaking, but now you have a 10+ interior. Great job!

Wow, what a gorgeous transformation and the interior color combination looks like it was what was ordered from Stuttgart! You will get some killer comments when she shows up at local car shows in the coming years. Great job!!
