I spy an extended hub steering wheel on that beauty. Great for taller drivers.

Love some Caddyshack! Sorry to hold you all in suspense. Anyways, the winch install took a lot longer than I planned, so I didn't go check it out today. Waiting to hear back from the guy to see if I can swing by after work tomorrow. He often takes a long time to get back to me, which is a little concerning. There's rain in the forecast for saturday, so it would be nice to grab it before then. We will see ;)

I saw that add a few weeks ago. It is over a 2 hour drive from my house. I could be interested in the front seats if you get the car. Send me a PM.
Good luck with the purchase.

From the pictures of the rims/wheels, the 1987 model year of a different wheel offset then the 85.5/86 model year. I believe its a 1987. The Porsche sticker on the drivers side door jam would specific the month/year of manufacture.

That makes it less appealing. I am hoping the wheels are early offset.

Well, I talked to the seller yesterday afternoon. He said he was free all day today, so I said I'd call around noon to get the address. All seemed well. Now here I am over 3 hours past noon. Called, left a voicemail and texted several times with no response. My last text said I won't call again. You have my number if you want to sell the 944. He has been terrible about getting back to me all week, so maybe there is still hope. Nothing like blocking out my saturday afternoon to be ghosted

Maybe I should have said I plan to turn it into a racecar instead of telling him I wanted it for parts. I mean, that is still a possibility :D

Hard to believe a guy who would let a Porsche rot in a field would be unreliable. 8-) I believe all US '87's had the third brake light in the rear hatch. The pictures/video aren't great, but I don't see one, which would point to 85.5.... Check the 10th digit of the VIN (if you get the chance): F=85; G=86, H=87....

No kidding 😄 I'm a little salty about wasting half the day waiting on him.
If I get the chance to check it out I'll definitely grab the VIN.

Worth pursuing though IMO -- 944 junkers are getting harder and harder to find...
