And if you are scared to install yourself, there's this super detailed how-to that some guy made. ;)

Hi Guys
Well ever since I made these Fire Extinguisher covers for a Porsche buddy of mine, I fell in love with them...
I never ordered the FE from Porsche, as I thought it would be best to use a Halon version. That was a mistake as these OEM Fire Extinguisher are only a 150 dollar option when you check the box when buying your car ... They sell anywhere from 350 - 500 in the after market !!
I wont tell you what I paid, but let's just say that the POS I bought it from was not an honest person ... He never included the under the seat bracket ( which is a must and costs about 250 from the dealer !!)
He's been banned from the forum that he posted on, not once, but twice !! The second time was final...
So I've been around the block on buying these, so I decided to see if the brackets could be made as that seemed to be the hard pill to swallow ... With a good buddy of mine who does CNC work, we came up with this bracket ( once powder coated I'll show how nice this came out ) :-)
In the meantime, I will post picts of the install I did ..
It requires taking the seat out in a GT4, prob not in a GT3, as you have room to lean the seat back in a GT3.
Once the seat is out, you need to go under the seat an poke 3 holes where the under the seat fabric is blocking the bolt holes... very simple and easy
Once that is accomplished you just put an X in the fabric and pull back that fabric so you can place the 3 bolts through the bottom of the seat.
The fourth bolt is already there as its a ground wire ...
Let me know if you have any questions
Best regards
Ed

Hi Ed, just joined the forum. You installed EdGuards on my White 911 Carrera T with the lightweight bucket seats. I've had them in the car for almost three years now and they are so good, I don't even think about them being there except to remember that I don't need to worry about the seat bolsters.

Nice! I have standard seats in my Spyder and am thinking about where I can use these because they look so nice!

Ed's a good friend, so I am biased, but even so, I honestly think he makes some of the nicest leather parts available for modern Porsches. The bolster covers are his core thing and best in class imho, but he offers lots of other things as well -- some (but not all) of which you can see here:

Can't say enough about the quality, craftsmanship, and service for Ed's products. I went with the Edguard/cuff with stitching and seatbelt retaining rings! Fast shipping and easy install. :D

Do yourself a favor and get these! Thanks Ed!

Just got my Edguards and they look amazing.
Haven't got the car yet so it was nice to see how the blue deviated stitching will look.

Car wasn't scheduled to be at the dealer until April 1st but heard today that it went into production two days ago :).
As soon as I can put the Edguards on I'll be sure to post some pictures.
