I haven't decided yet. The Turbo will be made in 10 days and delivered in November. It's mostly warm here much of the year so I have plenty of time to decide. I think the 2020 Carrera will be the best car over-all at Road Atlanta (easier to drive, has fewer fuel stops).

I think you'll quickly gravitate toward the Turbo. It does everything the Carrara does, and they added a bit of attitude to the exhaust/ride. With your driving background, I think you are going to just love that car. Now, putting a $200k car on a track is an entirely different decision, and could certainly understand not wanting to do that (I've been reluctant myself).

Thanks for pointing out everything that I am a lot nervous about.

I have a AMP (Atlanta Motorsport Park) track event in two weeks. My 2020 Porsche has little abuse, and it has three Amelia Island Werks Reunion events (I always keep paperwork). It's a good low-mileage car,

I'd say it needs to be broken in with some fast laps on a track. It will be all online as they have a drone that films every lap and every mistake. I've just been there once, but think I can hopefully do well on the stock street tires:
