My plan was to have the black anodized. If you'd rather finish them yourselves, that would no doubt speed up the process and reduce the price. What say you all?
I am ok either way, but I guess it would help if we knew what the price difference is. Painting them ourselves would be fine, and the product referred to above seems like it would work. I wrapped my current pair but the edges were already Black so if left plain aluminum I would have to paint and wrap, which I have no problem doing.

Still waiting on pricing.... stay tuned

If there is a big price difference (% wise) then go with the bare aluminum.Bob Z wrote: Fri Dec 09, 2022 9:29 am I am ok either way, but I guess it would help if we knew what the price difference is. Agreed. Cutting them is easy -- cnc a bit sheet of aluminum. Anodizing takes more time to set the individual pieces up in a rack. Can't imagine it would add 'that' much cost in the big picture, but we shall see.... I lean toward anodized if cost isn't too bad since not everyone has top-notch DIY skills, and because it's a no-regrets finish -- nothing stopping anyone from painting or wrapping it once anodized...Bob Z wrote: Fri Dec 09, 2022 9:37 amTom wrote: Fri Dec 09, 2022 9:34 amNeedless to say Tom, it will be impossible to please everyone so I suggest just having them made whichever way makes most sense. Makes sense Tom so when you get the prices let us know, and thanks for helping us all out yet once again!Tom wrote: Fri Dec 09, 2022 9:48 amAgreed. Should have just sent it to you last week. I'll send you this one (1/8" thick) to confirm the shape fits nicely in the opening. Once you give the green light, I'll get them done in 1/16". Ok?Bob Z wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 6:53 pm And if you need someone to try them out I am more than happy to do so if you cannot find someone nearby!
