They are supposedly lighter and the bumperets are smaller than US version

Another of your gorgeous cars! It looks like another rare color - I could guess but easier if you tell us. :) Whatever the color, I like it (and the car).

PS - some info and background?

Bali Blue?

Thanks guys!
The car was originally a red 1962 356 Karmann hardtop T6 B or notchback. It was restored and converted over in the early 80's to a cab and also went through the engine conversion to a 911S along with 911 brakes, etc. It was repainted to what I have been told is Azure blue. The car is really fun to drive. It was featured in the Porsche Classics magazine in 1984. "Looks like a 356, Drives like a 911!".

That's a background! I figured there was a good one. Love the plate too - a bit of a giveaway that all is not as it seems! :D So nice! Thanks for sharing Gordon

Azure Blue it is! Another rare "4-can" color per Rennbow. Maybe consider adding that to Rennbow too as there aren't many Azure Blue examples there and none like yours. Your Beige Grey 930 was an excellent add so might as well grow the heritage!

I've always loved the look of the 356 with classic Fuchs like that. I bet that car is a blast to drive. I was introduced to Porsches many years ago by a friend who restored his father's hand-me-down Karmann hardtop! His was signal red and used to win all the local PCA shows here in the Bay Area. He also has a 76 930, and I honestly can't remember which car I got to ride in first, but think it was the Karmann hardtop -- first Porsche I ever sat in. :) He now lives in your area actually, in one of the Nevada-side ski towns outside of Tahoe. His car is Signal Red and factory stock down to the last detail -- if you see him around town or at a show one of these days, tell him Tom says hi :)

Hi Tom,
WOW! I hope I run into your friend. And I will tell him Hi for you. I am a PCA member and just getting more involved now that we are empty nesters! Moved out of the bay area more than 30 years ago. If your ever in the area, give me a shout!

Cheers!
