Current Fun Cars: 2024 Cayman GTS, 1996 Miata M Edition

I've owned a couple fun cars over the years but my obsession with Porsche started after renting a Cayman on Turo for a trip I took to Austin back in 2018. I've since been set on buying a Cayman. I was put on the waiting list for a Cayman GTS 4.0 in January of 2022. During my wait I was fortunate enough to get an invite to a Porsche Experience which was an amazing experience to drive some 911s, Taycans, Macans and Cayennes around the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point Raceway. I've just received my 2024 Cayman GTS 4.0 earlier this month and I'm hoping for some warmish winter days ahead so I can get the break-in miles over with already!
Great looking CGTS - color, wheels, the whole package!

We love our P-cars in general but the Caymans are just about unbeatable and there are a number of die-hards here as you'll see. You are going to love driving your car - the break-in miles will come quickly!

Welcome to Carpokes!

Hi from snowy northern England, first time Porsche owner here!

Just bought a 1989 944, it's a 2.7l auto. It's actually my first older car too, so no doubt I'll be trawling the forum for info fixing various bits and pieces!

Through Facebook - just realised my odometer isn't working, searched the 944 owners group and stumbled on a link to Tom's odo gear replacement guide. Love 3D printing all manner of bits and bobs so when I saw that, complete with CAD files, I instantly knew this was the place for me!

Hi,
Another new member from across the water.
Owned 911's since 1987, currently run a 993 C2, but very familiar with 944 turbos since my son aquired one many years ago. Recently rebuilt the engine (twice) due to poor quality pistons from a reputable German company, so now have 944 engine experience to add to my aircooled knowledge. Do all my own spannering (wrenching), always have done whatever the car.
I do some 3d printing, and in fact it was my son who drew my attention to this site, when looking for parts for me to potentially make for him.

Greetings from Keith in the UK.

Blimey, great to have some new Members from Jolly Ole England, and then since many of my long gone relatives originated in the Isles I may just be welcoming an old cousin to the Carpokes Forum!

Hey There from East Tennessee!

Thank you guys for creating this page, I didn’t know anything about it until I was reading through a Panorama magazine. I am 22 years old and I’ve had 2 Macans so far. A ‘15 S and currently a ‘23 Base. I got my first one when I was around 19 and this country boy fell in love with not only the brand but also the lifestyle. I also have 2 other vehicles in my garage, a 1999 Ram 2500 diesel that is my daily and a 1972 International Travelall with 32K miles that stays in the garage. I look forward to having many other Porsches from a 356 to a 992 and everything in between. Just waiting on the right time, and money. Hoping to soon order a 992 when an allocation becomes available. I look forward to communicating with everyone and thank you for having me!
