Outstanding! I was there once a long time ago for a brief excursion during a St. Thomas mini-vacation. Gosh, it was so nice!

Peaceful. The gorgeous rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains.

Blew out the sidewall. I managed to find two falken tires of the correct dimensions. Added bonus they are black

Potholes! The bane worsens everywhere, although I would have thought that BR Pkwy would be better maintained due to its popularity and iconic status. Guess I was wrong.Stormy_Monday wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 3:47 pm Blew out the sidewall. I managed to find two falken tires of the correct dimensions. Added bonus they are black

Well cities, and I come from one, bore me. I prefer mountains and sitting on top of them for the views and solitude.
I spent 27 years touring the ultra-twisties in the Alps on my motorcycle. The narrower the mountain passes (less cars on them), the better, and with ~240 different passes in the Alps and Corsica, I may have missed a few.

That reminds me of a nerve-racking ride in a limo(!) we once had going into Positano on the Amalfi Coast. Path-like streets with crazy cliffs the whole way....911-Purist wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2024 3:36 am Well cities, and I come from one, bore me. Same here. One of the very few times I’ve gotten close to barfing in a car. Was actually a Mercedes van limo. Amazing views though.Tom wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2024 7:21 amThat reminds me of a nerve-racking ride in a limo(!) we once had going into Positano on the Amalfi Coast.
