Went to use my windshield wiper sprayer and wiper fluid sprayed out in between the hood and the quarter panel on the driver's side. Come to find out that the sprayer hose severed right as it enters the black clip on the frunk hinge (red arrow).
Dilemma - fix it myself ($23 part surprisingly) or bring it to a dealership to get fixed as it is still under CPO. I called the local dealer and they said they would fix it under CPO as it is a safety issue.
Two odd things, 1) that hose is very thin and does not seem robust enough to handle any articulation, almost the quality of a bendy straw and 2) If this this fails often (both Suncoast website mentions this and the dealer mentioned it also), seems odd that the whole hose assembly needs to be replaced. Most likely the east of making the part.
We will see next week when they fix it.

I attended a car "event" yesterday evening. One of the car clubs I belong to posted about this. This was for a kid with stage 4 cancer. I thought there were just going to be a few cars. Boy was I wrong. Had to be 500+ cars, trucks, motorcycles, three wheel things and even a monster truck, food trucks and a DJ. All to wish this kid luck for additional surgeries starting tomorrow. I choked up. What a great bunch of motorheads.
this pic is just one row, early.

I had mine replaced less than a year ago when I had the windshield replaced. I agree the hose routing makes it look like the hose will get tired and break every 5 years.
At the moment my wiper jest are partially clogged. I have not yet attempted to clear them.

So the earlier post motivated me to look at my windshield washer nozzles. I was surprised how easily they were removed. They pop down, release a metal clip and pull them away from the hose. Nice job Porsche!
Took them to the garage and blew compressed air through them both ways until they they blew clear. Install was just as straightforward.

Nice turnout for a good cause! Was surprised to see a 77 Trans Am in brown like I had back in the day. It seems everyone had a Black one so nice to see a different color.
Van 914 ---- great looking wheels on a white GTS Boxster. What brand and also what tires did you mount on them?

Good to know they are as easy as they look to work on in case the dealer reneges on their agreement to cover the replacement under CPO. Thanks for the info!
