Welcome Dave! To echo P_Coastal's comment, pics are great, especially of an '82 SC Targa that you've not only owned for 40 years but one that just went through a restoration!

Racer-Dealer (sold to Penske) Fred Baker here in Cleveland (home of "Stoddard's --RIP Chuck) gave me a similar spin at the 24 Hours of Nelson in 1983. In practice, he kept going deeper and deeper into a corner of standing water at Turn 1. He finally slid off onto a long, wide straightaway of wet grass in his 944. 360s of TREES-NO TREES. TREES-NO TREES. Laughing all the way at that! He almost got his passenger seat wet too.
