The Alpine F1 team is in a death spiral . They have made some really stupid personnel changes and the team is suffering from that . The latest two defections are just more nails in the coffin .

I have to laugh at anyone in F1/FIA that thinks Alpine is delivering " more value " than Andretti/Cadillac . Oh well it is what it is . For those still employed at Alpine I hope the future is better .

I feel like there are more things going on in F1 than we can imagine - a conspiratorial nirvana of shenanigans, controversies, nepotistic activities, manipulations, pay-offs, backscratching, backstabbing. What have I left out? I guess no broken legs or murders-for-hire. Yet.

As some of us have said over and over - High Drama, but I guess that's to be expected considering the lofty levels the series has attained. It's hard to fathom the effect of the massive money & prestige behind today's F1. (Then again as I look at the whole money picture, not hard to understand at all.)

Still, I won't deny the amazing race cars, technical advances, venues and armies of highly skilled people behind it all. It's at a level I could have never imagined.

So the woman that accused Horner has been suspended . Now Marko may face suspension . That tells me either the investigator found dirt on those two OR the folks backing Horner have the upper hand .
