Congratulations to Lando and McLaren. Well deserved constructors championship. Also well done Alpine , you came out of the ashes to have a respectable year . Haas also improved I hope that carries over to next year . Max too aggressive at the start he should have slotted into 3rd and raced from there . Perez another dismal result , I think his time is done with Red Bull as a driver .
I read an article that stated the Perez contract extension is with the parent Red Bull company . Not the Red Bull F1 team . I am wondering if that means he can stay with Red Bull in some type of ambassador role and not affect financially the F1 team against the cost cap if let go from driving duties . It's been quite a year , looking forward to next year .

Perez is still a strong draw, especially in Mexico and the US, and I have wondered why they did not just move him down to RB. That might fire him back up, and it would help him finish his career with the Red Bull organization as he has mentioned is his wish.
Overall , 2024 , was a great year for F1 fans , as plenty of the races were intense , the racing was closer throughout the year and there were plenty of surprising wins. 2025 looks to be an interesting year and if Ferrari and McClaren continue on their improved car pace it could see a new Champion driver. Hoping to see Mercedes in the fray and I am really hoping Williams can have a move forward with Sainz -- weirdest situation in F1 to me for a driver who should have been on many Team's lists!

Unfortunately Perez being a strong draw doesn't help the team win the constructors championship . He failed miserably in that regard . F1 is too cut throat and too much $$$ involved to keep a nice guy . Results or you are out . I think he's gone but time will tell .

996 , I do agree, Perez just did not deliver, and he likely is gone, yet I would not be surprised if there is some position for him within the organization because of the huge dollars he brings ( through Carlos Slim's organizations ) to Red Bull. Of course if he is not driving and just in an advisory position, one has to wonder if Carlos is still committed to any sponsorship? As you noted it is cutthroat in F1, but $$$ do speak loudly and with Red Bull down in the Constructor's Championship this year will they take the moneyed olive branch from Mr. Slim to keep Checo around. I imagine we will all find out quite soon.............

Today Red Bull , board members and Checo will be involved in the end of year debrief . I believe a Checo decision might be made today but that decision won't be announced . Why ? Because Red Bull want to view and analyze the results of Tuesdays test of Yuki in the Red Bull car .
Personally I don't think Yuki will get moved up , I think Liam gets moved up . I of course could be wrong but I think Yuki ends up at Aston Martin in 2026 when they go with Honda power . If nothing else it's fun to speculate.
