This morning I used the DSC sport controller, connected to my laptop, to do a health check and make sure all of the B16s are talking. They are so now I can feel confident to put the interior back together.

May as well clean the air filters while I am back there but then back together.

Called FK and they have several option for me for a replacement for the COM12T that is stiffer/tougher/less likely to gain slop. Feeling like I am making progress.

This week I installed wheel studs to make it easier to swap wheels and experiment with spacers.

I replaced the stock amber side marker lights with the clear/smoked ones from Rennline.

I watched their installation video and read other user's positive reviews but I did have a problem installing mine on a 2025 718 Cayman GTS 4.0.

The little metal clip that seems to be kind of spring loaded to hold them in place kept pulling itself out of its socket when installed in the car. I don't know if mine was a tighter fit or somehow different than others, but once the maker was in place in the fender the clip would pop out and the marker was no longer secure (obviously).

I tried gluing it first, but that didn't work. Then I tried gently pushing the little metal tab on the clip out a little more to get it to hold more securely, but of course that broke the tab itself off. So I drilled a small hole in the plastic and used an eye hook fastener to secure it instead.

That did the trick and now the markers are holding firm in place.

I love the first and third pics. That view takes real nerve to enjoy while driving there. You had a crystal-clear day as well. On my last visit we had two days of rain (but I only spun twice, ha!).
