New here. I saw the Panorama ad in my March 24 (page 22) edition that arrived today.
Current Porsche is a 2008 Porsche Boxster S Design Edition 2. My first Porsche was a1973 914. I loved that car, but I sold it to purchase a 1971 911T. (Do I ever wish I still had that car)…
Sold to restore and trailer a few Toyota FJ40’s behind the RV with my growing family.
Enjoying the Boxster immensely and I was excited to find this refreshing take on Porsche forums.
Great pics, beautiful Boxster and awesome garage space w/plenty of room!

Carpokes has a nifty "Garage Thread" here that Tom started that you might enjoy. viewtopic.php?t=16

Lots of interesting stuff all around the site in the different sub-forums to explore when you have the time. :D

Welcome to Carpokes!

Hi Guys

Found this forum on Excellence magazine and joined in today.
Got the Porsche "virus" early in my life from a sexy silver 1967 912, followed by a 924 in the late 70' and by my present
1976 911S Wide-Body. Engine is now a 3.0L equipped with PMO carbs and a few other power goodies.
Fast beast .
More than 40 years of fun together (including track time) and counting !

Porsche Owner Since : 2010

First fell in love with Porsche cars in the early 80's when my older brother bought a Tangarine colored 1968 912. It was such a thrill to drive that car and put it through its paces when I was in High School :) I was bummed when the engine caught on fire and he let the insurance company take it .... Still haven't forgiven him for that, lol

We ended up test-driving a 2005 Cayenne just by chance back in 2010 when we were looking to move on from my VW Passat TDI (another car I should not have parted with) as our family was growing. I still remember the solid feel of the door closing, the responsive throttle and the excellent handling for a SUV. Afterwards, no other car compared. My Mother in Law still drives that 2005 Cayenne (though it's seen better days now).

Current vehicles:
  • 1984 944NA Running Tinker car
2012 Cayenne - soon to become Mother In Law's vehicle
2013 Panamera GTS - Fun Family Car
    2021 Cayenne S - Daily Driver
    2014 Ford F250 SuperDuty
Happy to be here!

Was hooked on Porsche as a boy when Motor Trend came out with a cover article featuring 3 modified 911's in the mid-70's. They were the most beautiful cars I had ever seen!
