What a great trip and a perfect way to celebrate the 250th year Anniversary.
PS - I also will toss out a vote for the Ferodo 3.12 as they have been on my Cayman GTS since she reached 2000 miles and am super impressed by the pad. It seldom even squeaks which we all know is common with track pads.
What did you do with your 718 this week?

Fantastic trip!!! It's so cool that you could and would do that! Great itinerary motivation too. Impressive journey.Mfibiandriver wrote: Mon Mar 30, 2026 3:25 pm Just finished up one month road trip in 2024 Cayman S - West Coast to Yorktown, Va and back - destinations inspired by watching Ken Burns' documentary "American Revolution". And by signing up for two, back-to-back, two-day driving courses at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham. Variable weather with 91 degrees and snow, both within 18 hours in Charlottesville! The Cayman is a wonderful road companion!
Speaking of impressed, isn't Barber marvelous! Wow. It's the Augusta of motorsports road courses - fantastic facility that's perfectly designed and awesomely landscaped. It's a one of a kind facility with an incredible museum holding the world's largest motorcycle collection as well as some impressive race cars to boot. Barber MSP is a wonderful driving road course too. All of it was from the vision of George Barber who, unfortunately, passed away last month.
Congrats again on your Cayman expedition!

I completed another set of RE71-RS tires this weekend. New set ordered. Will try the RZs as soon as they release more sizes.
I tried Harry's lap timer on Sunday as it integrates into carplay. I still need more time with it before I have a conclusion. It was nice to see my time on the center display but was not sure how to show plus minus times in each sector so I can get real time feed back if that alternative line was better or not.

Congrats on using up every bit of rubber my friend. I have a new set of RSs mounted and though I have friends who are giving me solid reviews on the RZ it will be nice to hear from my fellow GTS RennRatte from the desert on his impression.

Barber was pretty awesome. Most driving was done with the 2025 Carrera S but there was also pedal-to-the-metal seat time in 2025 Cayman GTS, Boxster GTS, Panamera GTS and Turbo S. Learned a lot ... including that I have no business being on that track with the young bucks!blueline wrote: Mon Mar 30, 2026 4:41 pmFantastic trip!!! It's so cool that you could and would do that!
