Sounds like a great drive and thanks for the beautiful photo. Did you bring back any shells?

no shells. The missus took a few pictures of the remaining destruction from Ian.

Turned over 29,000 miles on a day trip to the Oregon coast.

Nice pic - looks inviting. A hammock and a nap in those trees at the moment the picture was taken sounds just about perfect right now.

The 718 is a fun car to drive - miles driven are a pleasure. As a guess, I'd say that you've put the majority of those miles on it since you got it.

I'm at about 12,300 now after yesterday's excursion to NCM for a track day.

Actually, no. The first owner also loved driving it, and sold it to me with 21k on it. The reason he sold it was to make room for a new Cayman T. And then a year into the T he got a long awaited allocation for a GTS, which is on a ship in the Pacific even now.
But you are correct in the pleasure-to-drive thought. I love driving it, even in less than spirited conditions. Shoot, I love just driving it through town...

Nice for both you and the other fellow.
Definitely one of the two most enjoyable and fun-to-drive cars I've ever owned. Such a perfect feel - balanced like no other imo.
Now that I have my OEM wheels as spares, I've had a set of Pilot 4 All-Weather tires mounted and will put them on the 718 early December so that I can drive comfortably (and safely) in any weather, winter or otherwise.

I'm planning on a track day later this year.
