It grew too big, I still go there because of the tech stuff for the Bimmers that I still own. Anyways, can't wait to get my new Porsche.

Thanks for the kind words Eric. I'm hoping we grow, but never lose our community-first ethos....
You are welcome Tom. And really, thank you for making those bezels for all of us.

Thanks, Tom! I very much remember you, both from RL and when we met.

As to how I came to be here, I was poking around RL today when I ran across a post stating you were no longer there and ultimately leading me to notonrl. After reading about all that nonsense   I figured, well, wherever Tom ended up, that's probably a place I should be! And so here I am. I definitely appreciate that you made a space free from all the drama and off-topic noise.

And thanks for the compliments on my hacking prowess, although I think I'll continue to count myself a novice at least until I get the Microsquirt running. ;)

Cayman photos coming up...

Well that's about the nicest post I can remember in a very long time. Thank you Sir.

As for hacking, I was thinking of your electronics/coding skills. When we were talking about the zero crossing point of the reluctance sensors, you said you'd manage that with 'bare metal' coding. I had to go home and look that up. :) I'm sure you'll get the microsquirt going in no time, but happy to help if I can...

Hi Terrry and welcome aboard! Great to have you here.

RE your bezel request: You posted in the 992/Taycan bezel wait list thread, but I'm not entirely sure which bezel the Macan would take. Can you post a picture of your sports chrono and post it here. The bezels I did for Bob Z are different from the 992/Taycan bezels in two important ways: 1) Bob's 718 has a different SC gauge than the 992/Taycan, so the bezels are not interchangeable, and 2) the hooded bezel I did for bob Z REPLACES the factory bezel, rather than slipping over the factory bezel like the 992/Taycan bezels you see in that wait list thread. To use the hooded bezel I did for Bob, you'd need to remove your factory bezel and replace it with mine. Bob says that's easy, but I've never done it...

RE a Macan Forum: I would love to open a Macan forum (and forums for the Panorama and Cayenne for that matter), but have been hesistant to open boards that have little or no traffic. If you had any interest in spearheading a Macan forum and getting some other Macan owners to join up, just say the word and I'll give it a try -- maybe a joint Macan/Cayenne board to start?

Hi Tom,
Thank you for the warm welcome, great to be here. I am tagging @Bob Z as well here as Bob may be able to confirm what is needed for Macan ? I suspect the same as his his. For sure I need the kind that has mounting tabs on the print (Not the kind you just place over top)....I have already popped off my silver ring when I did my SC gauge face colour change, it is not too difficult, Please see a few pics below. The hood as well would need the tabs of course.
As i mentioned, I would realllllly like the hood, and ring (because I dont know which I will settle on, lol ) to match the OEM plastic in the picture........I would love to make the hood like a natural extension of the top cover seen in picture...and not a different colour. Is this possible ?

I am really excited about this ! Thanks Terry

Hi All/Team,
Introducing myself and my passion for Porsche(s)... I am getting around 40yo, french guy living nearby Switzlerand border (so sry in advance for my medium English level) and lucky enough to enjoy driving into the Alps moutain regularly.
I was born 200kms from the place I live today and moved for my job as many workers here.

Being closed to the mountains allows for short or longer drives in the beautiful weather condition mainly between April to October.

My first Porsche was a Cayman 981 GTS... what a sound and experience, I loved it from day 1.
I then had the opportunity to move on an amazing 992 C2S, grey shades with red bordeaux interior.
This is clearly another dimension and for mulitple reasons, pls find few pics posted below.

Last summer I had the great opportunity to participate to the 10th year anniversary of the PECLM (Porsche Experience Center Le Mans). Amazing cars, a lot of pleasure with circuit sessions all day long, I felt like a young boy with a wonderful toy over there and really good memories with my wife too.

Happy to have shared this small intro with you.
Hope to see u maybe one day closed to here or abroad.
Have a nice day.
