Progress. Maybe even a foray into WEC. They are definitely making a solid move into Euro territory, possibly breaking the stranglehold on motorsports there. A couple Andretti jabs quoted in the piece too.996C438 wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2024 12:17 pm Interesting article , Andretti planning on F2/F3 entries to prove their value to gain an F1 entry . F1 desperately needs new blood from outside their clubby confines and Andretti appears to be one who can and will do that. I imagine the prospect has many squirming in F1 and elsewhere. Good.

I think Sainz going to Mercedes is likely his best move, as the likelihood of going to Red Bull was slim since he and Max did not get along in the past. 2025 could be a very, very intriguing year with other likely moves. I am worried one of my favorite drivers, Ricciardo, may be at the end of his tenure with VisaRB as he has just not shown much speed in 24. Makes one even wonder if Lawson may pop back in again this year as the Red Bull Organization has never been tentative about making changes in mid stream.

I think the next race in China could be a make or break weekend for Danny Ric . He's getting a new tub and any upgrades that are available . If he out qualifies and finishes ahead of Tsunoda all the chatter dies down . But if he doesn't you have used up all your excuses and Liam could get the seat .

I really hope Sainz does land at Mercedes, although I kinda doubt he would want to be a seat warmer for Kimi.
It will pain me to see Sainz in that green dust-bin of a car Kick-Sauber for a year before they change over to Audi, but that does seem like the most probable move now.

I was kinda hoping Vettel would come back and land MB… there is certainly some dead weight right now with some drivers not performing… danric, the two alpine guys, stroll to name a few.. I’m sure Ferrari is wondering if they made the right move. Leclerc hasn’t done much either… it’s a tough call tho. What I do know is the redbull is a great car and much closer to the competition, with Perez at the wheel.. Max on the other hand is clearly a once in a generation driver.. i almost bet he could still win in a Ferrari
