914, 944, Cayman are spiritual brethren. Not a 911, but equally amazing in their own ways.
I've been going to Big Game since 1970 and vividly remember "take off that blue shirt" and "take off that red shirt" chants, and the uninvited crowd surfing that happened to those who didn't comply. And the toilet paper and confetti -- couldn't even see the end zone after a good game. The football may have improved, but the experience hasn't.

Hah-hah! Guess that's about right! My poor mother was all of about 80 or so when her own 'body surfing' experience occurred at that Big Game I mentioned, believe it or not! Really shook her up a bit, understandably. Fans can be crazy SOBs, of course...no quarter/no mercy for age!
PS: Concerning Caymans, If I had beaucoup rasbuckniks (which I do not), I'd get a yellow one (apparently not many were made in that particular color). In my opinion the Cayman is one of the most beautiful P-cars to make the scene in recent years. Have a sis-in-law who had a silver Boxter-S but it took the Cayman to really make me want another (non 914) Porsche. 944s are also quite attractive, of course, but I am an air-sucker fan at heart (nice looking car, however

!). Never was particularly attracted to the ubiquitous 911s, though. EARLY P-cars (especially the 356 variety) were always my unrequited first love but I could never afford one and now their prices are stratospheric!

Hi Peter. Welcome aboard. I have several friends in the Danish Air Force (uncertain if any of them drive Porsches). Love to visit Denmark some day, given its fascinating history and beauty! Best wishes from the late, great United States!

Hi—
I’m Shadow (long time nickname) in greater Orlando. Just got out of a base 718 Cayman and into a 2018 Cayman GTS. A 4.0 would be amazing, but a little out of my price range, for now. I love the spirit on this forum and am looking forward to spending some time - and a few bucks - in the Carpokes Store!

Shadow ,
I instructed a gentleman in a 2018 Cayman GTS on the 19th of last month and I was pleasantly impressed with his little Guards Red HotRod. Frankly I found it quite close to my 2024 GTS in a straight line and we all know stopping and cornering are virtually the same. I think you will be super happy, the little Turbo 4 is a stout boosted beast! Welcome fellow GTS Croc owner!
