Add a mini-split heat pump to your garage. Makes it bearable for lots of things, including those jam nuts.

These kinds of projects (ie: an AC/Heat mini-split) are excellent for doing in stages and later upgrades, as long as you pre-plan a bit. I went for many, many, many (that's a lot of "many's" ) years without the Samsung mini-split. However, I always had the essentials: a good dehumidifier and fans. For winter, I'd bring out and strategically position three small electric, fan-driven heaters to stave off winter cold.
However, the addition of the mini-split has been nothing short of fantastic. A 90° or hotter garage is miserable. While I still keep the dehumidifier set to "auto" in case needed (I am in Tennessee after all and it does get quite humid), the Samsung 2-ton unit does the job for both cooling and humidity. (Decent heat for winter too.)
From yesterday - a little unintended salt in the wound but also something to look forward to some day.

My financial advisor probably took the same prep classes as yours has. In spite of that, it didn't take that much selling to get the needed agreement on adding the mini-split, especially when it meant that her garaged car would be a lot warmer to get in and out of in winter, cooler in summer. Secondary is that the advisor and I have differing temp preferences. She grabs a parka when temps drop below about 80ºF, and I like to work in the 60's. So if she has a project to work on in "her" section, "normal" winter garage temps won't cut it.
I upgraded the insulation spec a lot during the design phase, including arctic-rated insulated sectional doors. That makes heating and cooling the space a lot easier. Our summer temps tend to be 40's-50's overnight, so it's not at all an issue to open a door in the morning and let some accumulated heat escape. A challenge is that she wants to open a door in the afternoons to warm things up. So there are some concessions made to manage overall temps depending on who the primary user is on any given day. We also have a large pro-sumer fridge and freezer pair in the garage, which do a pretty impressive job of adding heat in the space. Those live on "her" side for some reason. I also have the option of adding a divider curtain between the two areas, segregating the spaces to my workbay area with the heat pump from hers with the heat generators, but have not yet needed that. Somehow we've been able to coordinate use schedules.
I will say that I use the AC functions in the workbay maybe a dozen times a year. Had it on for a couple hours one day last week, when outside temps reached high 80's and I had a clinic car here for some work. It's not the lounge area others show in their photos, but an actual workbay.

At the contractor's recommendation I also prep'd for then almost immediately installed a natural gas fired ceiling furnace in the workbay. While the heat pump is technically more energy efficient than the natural gas furnace, natural gas prices have been depressed for long enough that the actual costs to heat the space are a lot lower with gas. I added a wall thermostat with a cold enough range to maintain as freeze protection, plus it has enough capacity to bring winter temps up in a relative hurry from normal 50's to comfort temps. The heat pump is slow to heat especially in sub-zero conditions, and thrives in a more constant-operation constant-temp situation rather than our turn the heat up only when working situation. Same applies to the cooling functions BTW. Give it time to do its work if you decide you need to shed 10º or more for project comfort. Kinda like managing the doors, a little forethought goes a long way.
We live in a high desert climate near the eastern slopes of the Cascades at about 4000'. About 10" average annual precipitation means a true desert climate, and none of the high-humidity issues that plague the more eastern sections of the country. 40% RH means summer thunderstorms here. A lot of homes here have no AC, and manage with opening the house at night and closing up in the morning to keep the heat out. There are times when pollen attacks and sometimes wildfire smoke make opening the house less comfortable, but many find a way to get by.

Your garage looks like anything but junk storage. Looks brand new and awesome to me! Be sure to triple-secure that fan and all the blades. I had a fluorescent light fixture fall off the ceiling and onto my nearly new 991 Turbo S, and will forever be paranoid about things on the ceiling....

I missed this earlier. Looks great! A good floor can't be underestimated in a garage. Really makes the space more inviting and useable. Now you can walk around and do stuff in your socks, like another room in the house.

That window had cheesy blinds from the previous owner. We were surprised when I took them down to get ready to paint. So no blinds going back up. Plan is to replace them with hurricane impact glass later this year. The spiders will need to find another home....

I have several older Lasko squirrel cage fans from the Big Box stores that do an excellent job moving air. Can adjust the flow, daisy-chain, they have outlets, etc. They are excellent for track environments too - easy to transport. They also store well and remain out of the way when not in use.
