Welcome Ken!

"Variety of P-cars" is always intriguing. Can you expand some on that history, plus what's entertaining you now? I'm down to just one, and we all enjoy and live vicariously by the adventures that others share here.

Just became member today:
Chuck Coli
First porsche 1960 356 roadster paid $2000 for nice running driving rust free car needing cosmetics , purchased in 1974 when i lived in Newport Beach Ca. Bought all parts at Chick Iverson VW Porsche ( about a mile from my house) so i got to know the Emory Brothers when they ran Iverson’s parts dept..it was fun times back then and a close knit group of us, i was buying restoring ( and i use the word loosely ) and selling air cooled bug and Ghia convertibles..which were very popular in SoCal and could be purchased for pennies elsewhere in the US so traveled the major US cities buying and trucking into SoCal fix up in the driveway and selling..bought a lot of parts from Iverson’s. Started doing some 356 Porsche upholstery at home in Corona Del Mar before it became so ritzy..remember Jack Staggs in San Clement back in the day..had so much interest from people wanting to buy VW Convertible Parts started “Chucks Convertible Parts” specializing in parts for VW Convertibles, starting manufacturing parts , next was add in ‘Hot VWs magazine a catalog then a website and after 43 years in business just sold to West Coast Metric in La …now the even more fun part:
Current cars:
1988 Carrera cab( because they drive so damn good)
2004 Carrera 4S Cab ( this is my ‘modern’ porsche for long weekend trips with the wife that she can drive)
Full high end restored 1960 MGA twin cam roadster ( the actual car i purchased in high school )
1969 Ferrari Daytona spider conversion
2023 Kawasaki Mule
1967 factory black/red VW Convertible ( this is the best of the 50 or so bought and sold before starting ‘Chucks’
Currently would love to have a 58 speedster

Mark Francis. Currently have a 1993 964, plus my sons and I have three 944s, two 1989s, an 944 S2 and a 2.7 N/A. And a 1986 944 N/A basket case that should have been a parts car but it was given to my 18 year old by his uncle for his 16th birthday. Long time PCA Club Racer and instructor. Currently race a Spec Boxster. I had seen the Carpokes ad in Panorama and in the daily Stuttgart Market Letter email so thought I would check it out.

Hi. I’m Marc. I live in central Ohio. Well, obviously, I’m new to this forum. My P-car is a 2016 GT4. It is so much fun to drive and is way more of a car than I am a driver. We do well together at Mid-Ohio, however. Other toys are a ‘74 246-GTS and an ‘02 E39 M5. My daily driver is a ‘11 Wrangler😀. My son is the proud caretaker of an ‘86 911 Targa. Anybody interested in a project car? How about a ‘71 Alfa GTV?

That's quite the P-car lineup for you and your sons. Great to see your extensive track involvement - there are a bunch of us here who haunt the paddocks of the wonderful tracks available all over.

Welcome to Carpokes Mark!

PS - thanks for the heads-up as to how you found out about Carpokes. It's good to know!
