944 Turbo picture thread

Jotronic, that's a LOT of goings on that must have resulted in numerous gremlin deaths. Progress!

One of my favourite 944 colours, and wheel types.

Thank you. The paint job is a ten footer. Needs a full respray which is part of the plan for spring. It's the color and wheel combo that I saw on another car that was for sale that rekindled my interest in Porsche and I just happened to find the car, the the wheels, that turned her into what I wanted. Wheels are temporary however as I have a plan for my final set eventually.

1988 in Maraschino Red.

Bought her last October for my birthday, flew to pick her up and drove 12 hours through the Rockies back to Vancouver. Been refreshing everything I can underneath first along with maintenance and killing gremlins.

AC conversion to 1394 including new compressor
Rebuilt steering rack.
All new vacuum lines
Focus 9 DME
Focus 9 DME Relay with pump prime
Focus 9 Fan relay
Short shift kit
Wavetrac LSD
Elephant Racing sport rubber for every piece of rubber under the car.
Intrax 1K2 coilovers
968 castor blocks
996 BBS Carrera II wheels
Firestone Indy 500 tires
Saratoga Glass Sunroog
KLA Industries C pillar support brace
Only944.com clear tail light upgrades.
Only944.com Clear turn signal lenses
Front and rear clear marker lenses
LED Headlights/reverse lights
Manual boost controller
Aluminum aftermarket bypass valve (forgot the brand)

Focus9 adapters for 996TT/GT2/3 brakes
996 three spoke steering wheel
Boosted Brothers builder's kit for 07K swap (I may wind up selling it)
2012 Jetta 07K with 30K miles
More parts in waiting that I can't remember.

If you are considering a swap I would do it to a NA. You loose a ton of value on the turbo and not so much on a NA. I was so close to pulling the trigger on your car when it was in Canmore
I always liked that color.

I always liked that color.

The value isn't a big concern for me as I don't see myself selling it in the foreseeable future, BUT, I'm leaning more and more to selling my swap kit and modernizing what I've got as much as possible. That was half of the reason for the swap in the first place, reliability, not to mention ease of getting parts and more room to work on things in the engine bay.

You're like the fourth or fifth guy to tell me you almost pulled the trigger on this car, lol! I was at a local Porsche meet and a guy I met and that joined my FB group said he also went to Canmore to look at it and even paid for an inspection (which was all good). He bought a 968 instead.

Thank you, yours is too. I'm thinking of going with a square setup with these wheels. The rears I think would look at the front. If I don't go with some BBS, I may do that.

Ocean blue metallic is a great color on these cars! Guess I am biased a bit. I am always surprised at how much different the sunlight can make it look, from black, to blue to silver and even purple. If I remember correctly, there is a splash of magenta in the mix.

Looks like the Lindsey catalog was thrown at the car. What turbo does it have?
