Thank you. Lot of dead gremlins and callouses from the battles.blueline wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2023 10:23 pm Jotronic, that's a LOT of goings on that must have resulted in numerous gremlin deaths. Progress!
Great looking car and great color too!

Thank you. The paint job is a ten footer. Needs a full respray which is part of the plan for spring. It's the color and wheel combo that I saw on another car that was for sale that rekindled my interest in Porsche and I just happened to find the car, the the wheels, that turned her into what I wanted. Wheels are temporary however as I have a plan for my final set eventually.
If you are considering a swap I would do it to a NA. You loose a ton of value on the turbo and not so much on a NA. I was so close to pulling the trigger on your car when it was in CanmoreJotronic wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2023 9:59 pm 1988 in Maraschino Red.

The value isn't a big concern for me as I don't see myself selling it in the foreseeable future, BUT, I'm leaning more and more to selling my swap kit and modernizing what I've got as much as possible. That was half of the reason for the swap in the first place, reliability, not to mention ease of getting parts and more room to work on things in the engine bay.gruhsy wrote: Tue Nov 07, 2023 4:05 amIf you are considering a swap I would do it to a NA. You're like the fourth or fifth guy to tell me you almost pulled the trigger on this car, lol! I was at a local Porsche meet and a guy I met and that joined my FB group said he also went to Canmore to look at it and even paid for an inspection (which was all good). He bought a 968 instead.

Thank you, yours is too. I'm thinking of going with a square setup with these wheels. The rears I think would look at the front. If I don't go with some BBS, I may do that.Cruise98 wrote: Tue Nov 07, 2023 12:11 pm Jotronic:
That is a beautiful car. I have the same wheels on mine and think they really compliment the lines of our cars.

I guess now that mine's been out and about I should drop (a slightly blurry, oops) something in here:

New car big, etc etc etc
edit: wow, that's worse than I expected
maybe if it clears up enough out here to get a good wash in I can get something better!

Ocean blue metallic is a great color on these cars! Guess I am biased a bit. I am always surprised at how much different the sunlight can make it look, from black, to blue to silver and even purple. If I remember correctly, there is a splash of magenta in the mix.
Looks like the Lindsey catalog was thrown at the car. What turbo does it have?
