Hello Carpokes!

Ben here from the Pacific Northwest.

1986 944 Turbo that I have owned for about 10 years (my first Porsche, a keeper, with 42,000 miles)
2013 Aerokit Carrera S (my second Porsche, 1st 911, and a cracking brilliant vehicle)

Live in Portland Oregon, wrench on my own cars and enjoy talking Porsches whenever I can. Outside of Porsches, I'm a bit of a mega Land Rover fanatic and into offroading and active with the local Land Rover club.

Originally from Alabama where .. growing up in the 80's,, a 944 Turbo was always my dream car.

WillyDaP,

Here's my Silber Rosa.
I've had her going on 12 years now.
Mechanically, she's about 95%+, cosmetically she needs a little bit of sprucing up (as can be seen by all the rock chips).
Fun to drive though!

Cheers

Great looking boosted 944 ----- Classic Lines and soon to be 40 years old yet the shape is timeless even today. I have always felt the 944 was a automotive design that would wear well many years into the future, and with prices going up on the used market while so many other cars are going down, I think the " Gearhead Nation " is taking major notice to the beautiful shape of this lovely lady ( sorry, I think cars , like ships are usually female in nature, ha ).

Welcome aboard. I'm a sucker for a white 951 with black Fuchs. Looks awesome!

As for everything else, two words: Garage Thread!

Hello everyone!

James here, 27, from London.

Proud new owner of this 1983 944 which I picked up from Northern Ireland and road tripped home. Before that it hadn't really been driven since 2003 but it somehow made it pretty much without missing a beat. As a former kart racer and huge Top Gear fan its a total dream to have a car like this

Plenty to do on the car (full respary will be needed at some point) but currently I'm embarking on the planning of replacing the timing/balance belts, water pump, and oil seals (belts last done in 1997...). Seems like a big job to do as my first proper mechanicing but also lothed to pay the 1.5-2k I have been quoted for the work so in a bit of a bind. Any advice greatly appreciated, would hate to have to sell!!
