Glad to have another RennRatte ( my German translation for Trackrat, ha ) on here and the GTS is a riot on a road course. Few mods to get better camber ( mainly up front ) and she will surprise plenty of folks. J-Dub ( fellow Carpokean ) clued me in on Ferodo 3.12s and they are great to nail on the binders. Raced in SCCA and NASA , also, and still run Time Trials so super aggressive, solid track pads are a must. Surprisingly quiet on the street also.

Welcome and love to see a few pics of the S2000 ( had one of them myself ) in race trim!

Hi, this is Pat, I’m retired and currently split my time between Northern VA and Charleston SC. I came rather late to the ranks of Porsche ownership when I bought my 2010 997.2 Turbo in 2018 and I became fully hooked on Porsches right away! In 2022 I decided I wanted to try the Cayman platform, so I added a 2016 981 Cayman GTS to my garage. Both cars have been set up for dual purpose street/track duty. The driving characteristics of the two cars couldn’t be more different but I enjoy driving and tracking both immensely. I traded in my Cayman GTS several weeks ago on a CPO 718 GT4, and am anxious to get track season started in a few weeks!
I’m also a Rennlist member and first came across Carpokes when it appeared in my daily Stuttgart Market Letter. Carpokes also surfaced in a rennlist forum search for 718 rear license plate mounts, so I’ll be ordering those soon!

SapphireRacing, Nice grouping you have there. Two great street cars, a trailer, track car, and tow vehicle and EV for grocery runs...
Very cool!
Thanks for joining!

Excellent in all respects!

Welcome to Carpokes!

There are a number of us here who participate in various track day and racing events.

Since you're located in my half of the U.S., you may find my annual track day event compilations handy. Over 250 events , each from 1 to 3-days, covering 37 tracks and approx 30 different track day organizers.

You can find it all here:

Thanks! Did install adjustable lower arms on the GTS to get -2deg camber up front. Brake pads for sure if it goes to the track.

S2k racecar pics below. STU class requires a factory dash be in place which is the only reason it's there.

Your S2000 looks well set up - very nice!

I've been running the Ferodo DS3.12 pads on the GT4 for four years now paired with AP Racing's J-Hook 2-piece rotors. They are superb. Camber is -2.75 on all four corners which works well for me. It took components from Tarett Engineering to achieve. :thumbup:

Ok, what has been done to the motor if you are running STU - enquiring minds want to know, ha!

Nothing exciting to report - just the basics for a non-street legal car:
* modified stock intake
* full exhaust including header (no cat of course)
* tune

When I bought the car it had an Endyn head and was tuned for NASA ST4. Technically that's illegal for SCCA STU. The biggest performance gain at this point is a sequential trans and custom gear ratios.
