Audi4t,
TYD , is more like track your departure , because it can change a couple of times and you will just be left wondering if it is Octoberfest for whomever is punching in the numbers, ha. I was initially scheduled for a Sept. 29th Dealer arrival and within days that changed to Sept. 26th. I know , only three days different but all of a sudden two weeks later my date changed to August 26th. Finally it changed one last time to the 29th of August and lo and behold the car showed up at the Dealership on the 26th. So, I wish you good luck and just have fun with marine traffic.com once she leaves the port, but the process can still be fun , though accurate is not always in its vocabulary. You , at least, got some beautiful pictures of your car , where I did not receive any and that seems to be the case of those who are having Boxsters or Caymans built in Osnabruck.

Well Willy, no pics for those of us who purchase SUV type P-cars either so you're not alone. 🤣

No matter - the real thing is all that counts in my book!

Porsche notification

We recently informed you of a delay in delivering certain Porsche vehicles from ports due to a customs issue. We have been working diligently to address this, but it has now become apparent that this process will take some time to resolve, and we are consequently updating the delivery dates on certain cars currently either at ports, or due to arrive shortly. This delay does not affect either the 718 or Macan, deliveries of which continue as normal.

At issue is a small electronic component that is a part of a larger control unit, which will be replaced. Arrangements for replacement parts are being made to begin this work as soon as possible. We are working as a priority to resolve this issue and to provide you and our customers with more regular updates. In the meantime - and out of caution - we are revising the estimated delivery dates to reflect the likely delay more accurately. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together to support our customers.

Always something !!!

Probably not going to get 3/2/24 delivery

This issue suddenly popped up for many in the past several days. I haven't yet received a delay notice such as yours for the Cayenne S although it could come any moment if the same component has to be replaced on ours. Was at dealer yesterday and he basically said their limited info was saying the same thing - apparently the flawed component is causing an emissions or emissions diagnostic issue or similar. (Kind of a sensitive area with Porsche and VW Group vehicles. Lol.)

It appears that not all builds of the affected models have the bad component(s). Interesting about a local customer who did a Euro delivery and is going through the same grief: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2436&p=29723#p29721

The TYD ETA did fall off for ours over a week ago but that was due to the boat making a detour to the Mexican port at Tuxpan to unload before heading back up the Gulf to Houston. I suspect there was mooring congestion at Houston where it was to have gone after leaving Sparrow's Point, MD hence the route alteration. That's not uncommon.

Anyway, the boat left Tuxon, Mexico late Friday night and is due to dock at Houston Tuesday afternoon. I imagine we'll know more once it's unloaded as to whether our vehicle is on the quarantine list.

The Cayenne has been on the boat since January 5th when it left Emden - it's earned its sea legs by now. 🤣

Finally my 2024 992 coupe arrived at the dealer.

Will pick her up Saturday after PPF, ceramic and 30% tint are installed.
