Pleased to report they fit great! Super easy to install, just clean the bumper off and stick in place. I lined them up looking through the mount to the holes in the bumper and then vertically along the side of the bumper plate mount.

So weird that Porsche thought self tapping plastic screws were a good way to mount a plate... and then hid the tow hook behind it. "Don't worry, they'll never have to use that... "

Thanks for posting those Kit, and thanks for being the test-fitter!

Also, huge thanks to @Bob Z for the pictures you sent with the ruler and circle gauges, etc. I have to say, working from those pictures, the set I designed actually lined up and fit on the 718 bumper better than I had expected for a first try. I don't think I need to change a thing! I'll print a set in yellow tomorrow and get them off to you!

might be a dumb question - do these simply re-use the factory screws the car came with for the license plate?

No Sir. I got self-tapping sheetmetal screws with my cars.

For these plastic mounts we use brass, M6 x 1.0 threads, and a 10mm M6 Phillips-head screw/bolt. This way you can take the plate off and on as many times as needed without wearing out holes drilled into the thin plastic bumper. They're good for cars with worn out/stripped holes in the bumper; perfectionists like me who don't want to screw self-tapping holes into a brand new car; and track guys who need to take the plate off and on regularly to expose the tow hook. :)

You 'should' be able to PM as soon as you sign up. Did you try? I'm still learning this system, so it's possible I have that wrong?

What year is your 991, and what color? Porsche changed the little round bosses for the screw holes somewhere in the 991 run, so if you have a 991.1, you may need a different set than most 991's use, -- i.e., one with a bigger recess on the tape-side for the round boss. I have mounts for both, just want to make sure I get you mounts that fit.

I charge $45 a set, shipped in the US, but have been discounting and/or giving them away to folks who help grow carpokes. So how about this: if you get a couple of Porsche friends to sign up here and say you sent them, I'll comp you a set! :) Either way, I can get you a set no problem. :)

hmmm, the PM function is now appearing. Maybe i needed to hit a post threshold for it to work? The last one i wrote above was my 3rd post so maybe that opened up the function...

regardless, my 991.1 is a 2013 MY. ill send u a PM now that i can! ha
